Upload the lap you actually want analyzed
Virew gives you the sharpest coaching when the clip contains the exact lap or session you want feedback on. Point it at the driving you care about and it can focus entirely on that.
- Upload the specific lap whenever you can.
- Skip long recordings packed with unrelated gameplay — menus, out-laps and replays dilute the focus.
- For lap-time improvement, a complete flying lap works best.
Shorter, relevant clips aren't automatically faster, but trimming to the lap that matters reduces unnecessary processing and makes it easier for Virew to lock onto the lap you meant.
Keep the F1 26 HUD visible
The on-screen HUD is a goldmine of context. When it's visible, Virew can read real information straight from your screen instead of guessing.
- Lap time

Avoid cropping out important HUD elements — the timing panel especially. If it's off-screen, Virew simply can't use it.
Use the highest-quality recording available
A clean, sharp recording makes the small details — HUD digits, kerbs, car attitude — far easier to interpret.
- 1080p is preferable when you have it.
- Higher-quality footage makes HUD elements and driving details clearer.
- Avoid repeatedly compressing or re-exporting the same clip.
Higher resolution doesn't automatically make analysis faster — it just gives Virew more to work with.
PS5 → USB vs mobile
How you move a recording off your console can quietly change its technical characteristics. Your PS5 recording may be processed differently depending on how you transfer or export it.
- A direct PS5 → USB transfer can preserve the original recording.
- Sending or exporting through a phone may re-encode the video.
- Re-encoding can change codec, FPS, bitrate and keyframe structure.
- Those characteristics can affect how quickly Virew processes the clip.
USB isn't always faster than mobile, and mobile isn't always slower — and a smaller file isn't automatically quicker. File size alone doesn't determine processing speed.

Processing time depends on the video's technical make-up, not simply its size in megabytes.
A bigger file isn't always slower, and a smaller one isn't always faster. What really matters is what's inside the video:
- Upload only the relevant footage.
- Avoid unnecessarily long recordings.

- Avoid unnecessary re-encoding.

- Don't cut the recording just before the lap completes.
